Text Window Banners Application

• Select a Suitable Location:

  • Avoid open areas where wind could affect the application.
  • Use a garage or underground car park if possible.

• Prepare the Windscreen:

  • Thoroughly clean the windscreen with rubbing alcohol.
    • If rubbing alcohol is unavailable, use glass cleaner and a microfiber towel.
    • Ensure the windscreen is completely dry before proceeding.

• Center the Banner:

  • Position the window banner on the windscreen to ensure it is centered.
  • Use masking tape to create a hinge directly in the middle of the banner.
  • Confirm the centered position with a measuring tape once the masking tape is in place.
  • Adjust and reapply masking tape as necessary to ensure accurate alignment.

• Apply the Banner:

  • Flip the banner over on one side.
  • Cut half of the backing paper off using a blade or sharp scissors.
    • Ensure the cut is clean to prevent loose or torn paper from sticking to the banner.
  • Carefully lay down the exposed half of the banner on the windscreen.
  • Use a debit card to smooth out the banner from the center outward.

• Complete the Application:

  • Lift the other side of the banner and remove the remaining backing paper.
  • Continue to smooth out the banner using the debit card, working from the center outward.
  • Ensure the banner is applied straight and free of bubbles or wrinkles.

• Choose an Appropriate Location:

  • Avoid open areas where wind could interfere with the application.
  • Use a garage or underground car park if available.

• Prepare the Windscreen:

  • Thoroughly clean the windscreen with rubbing alcohol.
    • If rubbing alcohol is unavailable, use glass cleaner and a microfiber towel.
    • Ensure the windscreen is completely dry before proceeding.

• Prepare the Application Solution:

  • Mix dishwashing liquid with water in a spray bottle.
  • Generously spray the windscreen and the sticky side (back) of the sunstrip with the soapy solution.

• Position the Banner:

  • It is recommended to have two people for this step.
  • Hold each side of the banner and position it on the windscreen.
  • Move the banner around until you achieve the desired position. The soapy solution will allow for easier adjustment.

• Smooth Out the Banner:

  • Use a squeegee or debit card wrapped in a microfiber cloth to remove excess water and air bubbles.
    • Ensure the debit card is wrapped in a microfiber to prevent scratching the sunstrip.

• Trim the Excess Vinyl:

  • Once the banner is dry, use a blade to carefully trim any excess vinyl around the window banner.
